We travel through the picturesque Derwent Valley to Mount Field National Park home to Russell Falls. This stunning waterfall is one of the most accessible and photographed in Tasmania. If you're lucky, spot glow worms as you stroll through temperate rainforests, past mossy glens, and under giant man ferns. This tiered waterfall will take your breath away.
Then we step back in time to the pretty historic village of Richmond. See the oldest convict-constructed sandstone bridge, browse through antique shops, and call into the oldest Catholic Church in Australia. Oh, and there's an old-school lolly shop for those with a sweet tooth. Alternatively, opt for visits to local wineries, distilleries, or the Coal River Farm, with flexible lunch options including Riversdale Estate, Frogmore Creek, or Wattlebanks café, tailored to suit the group's preferences.
Further Information
Please bring a water bottle and wear warm comfortable clothing, bring sunhats or beanies appropriate for the weather (often both!). Please bring a spare set of clothing to change into after your kayak tour. A camera/phone are optional, dry bags can be provided.
