In this hands-on cooking class Peter demonstrates and teaches new cooking techniques in a fun & safe environment.
Peter showcases local, seasonal products including his home-grown organic vegetables, herbs, honey and eggs to produce a restaurant style 4 course lunch. The cooking class is designed to give you the confidence to produce the same menu at home without expensive equipment and tools. This experience includes all recipes.
The Experience
Your host, Peter, is a qualified chef, trained in Europe in classic French cuisine and worked in several five star hotels in Europe and Melbourne before moving to Hobart where he leaded the Wrest Point Convention Centre as Chef De Cuisine.
Throughout his career he has won many awards and taken part in incredible cooking experiences, participating in state, national and international cooking competitions to dedicate his time to developing and showcasing his cooking skills and style:
- Medal winner of the International Snow Festival - Sapporo, Japan
- Medal winner of the International Culinary Olympics - Frankfurt, Germany
- State & National winner of the most creative use of Fruit & Vegetable competition - Perth, Western Australia
- Several medal winner of the Salon Culinaere - Hobart, Tasmania
Peter is also a certified Australian HACCP Food Safety Supervisor, complying with Australian & International Safe Food Handling practises and standards.
