Experience the unexpected

A few weeks ago, we had an enquiry from a group of 10 people wanting to explore the Tasman Peninsula. After a phone meeting we had a clear idea of the experiences the group wanted to include, from hikes and boat trips to indulging in fine produce and delving into convict history.

We tailored our Tasman Peninsula Walking Experience to incorporate the size of the group and added in a few extra special requests. What the group loved the most was the point of difference – they were guided by a different expert each day.

On a hike to Cape Hauy a geologist explained the geological history of the dramatic dolomite rock formations on which they were walking. The next day an ecologist shared Tasmania’s unique natural surrounds with the group.

Indulge in a luxury tour

Recently we organised a luxury tour around the island for seven nights for a small group. The group wanted to encompass the Tassie icons, taste delicious fresh produce, explore the island’s history and see local wildlife.

Arriving in Launceston, we began the tour on the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail to sample Tasmanian farm cheese, truffle and berries.

We spent a day walking in Cradle Mountain before heading over to the pristine beaches on the east coast. The guests feasted on fresh Tasmanian seafood, explored Freycinet National Park and the stunning Wineglass Bay. They had a close encounter with cute wombats and watched Tasmanian devils feed.

We ventured to the stunning Tasman Peninsula where the group walked with a geologist as they explored the soaring sea cliffs. We organised a historian at Port Arthur Historic Site to do a private tour of the fascinating convict gaol.

Our group walked with a botanist under some of the tallest trees in the world and marvelled at Tasmania’s most photographed waterfall – Russell Falls. We spent two nights in Hobart exploring the highlights of this beautiful city and the surrounding areas before they departed.

The group said it was an unforgettable and incredibly relaxing way to experience the best of Tasmania.
